The Vidyalaya is under administrative control of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, New Delhi, Which is under the Ministry of Human Resources. And primarily caters to the educational need of the children of Central Govt. Employee, including Defense Personnel liable to frequent transfers throughout the country. The aim of Kendriya Vidyalayas is to provide education according to the Principles of the New Education Policy, to bring out the best and noblest qualities in children, to infuse in its students a feeling of patriotism, brotherhood and national integration so as to make them good and loyal citizens.

KV No 1 JRC Bareilly was among the first 20 regimental schools which was started in 1962. From the barracks of JRC in 1992 to the splendid and modern infrastructure of the day, KV JRC has came a long way. Today 03 sections are operational till class V and 4 sections at secondary and sr secondary level. At Sr Secondary level school caters to students of 03 main streams Humanities, Commerce and Science. Lush green campus of KV JRC is soothing and therapeutic technology enabled smart classes make the teaching- learning process not only fun but also effective. This green and scenic vidyalya has also won Harit Vidyalaya Puraskar for 03 consecutive years awarded by KVS RO Lucknow.
